Dan resides on the North Channel of the St. Clair River near Algonac, Michigan. The nearby waters of the river delta on the upper part of Lake St. Clair, the St. Clair Flats, is also home to large numbers and varieties of waterfowl. Great opportunities for wildlife photographers.
The area is also home to large numbers and varieties of antique and classic wooden boats. Chris-Craft, Gar Wood and Hacker-Craft all built their iconic speedboats nearby. Dan’s photos of the boats, along with the watersports images, are taken on these waters.
